Eugene “Larry” Hallblade, Gold Canyon, Arizona

Eugene “Larry” Hallblade Larry Hallblade born November 8, 1939 in Willmar, MN died on September 9, 2025 at Honor Health Shea Scottsdale hospital in Scottsdale, AZ. Larry was raised in his early years in Minneapolis while his father attended seminary at North Central Bible College. The family then lived in Pine Island, Montevideo and Owatonna Minnesota. Larry graduated from Owatonna High School in 1957. Larry then attended North Central Bible College where he met the love of his life Grace Evelyn Hagenbeck. Larry and Grace were married December 13, 1958 just prior to Larry entering the Navy. Larry served 5 years in the Navy and then the family returned to the Twin Cities where Larry attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1967. Larry had a very successful career in sales and business until his retirement. Larry lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being with Grace, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, cousins, friends and music jammers from Arizona. Larry is proceeded in death by his father Rev. Severin Hallblade and mother Eunice Hallblade. Larry is survived by his college sweetheart Grace Evelyn Hallblade, daughter Gaylene (Jim) Hermann, daughter Julie Sullivan, and son Mike (Kathy) Hallblade. Larry had 9 grandchildren; Brandon, Kyle, Michelle, Allison, Tyler, Andrew, Riley, Micah and Reid. Larry had 15 great grandchildren whom he loved seeing pictures of. Larry is survived by 2 brothers Eldon (Susan) Hallblade of Florida and Don (Barbara) Hallblade of Minnesota, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Larry’s legacy will live on in his great love for others, character and integrity. Larry’s love and care for his wide and family was exceptional and he will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank HonorHealth Mountain Vista and HonorHealth Shea Scottsdale (2B ICU) for their expertise, excellent care and compassion.
